Hi! Our family of 5 adults will be in Ghent for two nights in April. Has anyone stayed in the B&B d'Apotheeke? Or do you have other recommendations? We'd like to be relatively close to the town center, but it looks like the trams are easy to navigate. Cheap parking would be nice, but not essential. Thanks!

What 'nationality' has your car licenseplate? Ghent has a LEZ zone where registration is obliged (except for B and NL cars).

We will be renting a car in the Netherlands and will tell the rental company that we'll be driving to Belgium.

Dutch cars are automatically linked in the Ghent and Antwerp LEZ zone, so no further registration needed.
Be careful, this is not the case for the Brussels LEZ, where registration will be necessary if you want to enter this zone (rental company won't do the registration for you as they will be happy if you get a fine so they can add an extra fee).
Your car need to be compliant with the LEZ requirements of course, however this shouldn't be a problem for rental cars since these are modern, new cars.
LEZ requirements for Brussels are more restrictive then for Ghent/Antwerp.
