Ghent and Namur Restaurants

Good day all,

Any reccomendations on authentic Belgian, reasonedable priced, and kid friendly restaurants in Ghent and Namur?

Thanks,

Nate

The Soup Lounge is great for lunch, budget and kid friendly. I wouldn't say it is necessarily.especially Belgian but good homemade soups. I saw lots of families with kids when I was there.

The Bridge restaurant is frequently recommended on this site and in guidebooks. I thought it was quite good. I think it would fine with kids, especially the outdoor seating.

Both of the above are in Ghent.

I live in Ghent. Brasserie Bridge, as mentioned above has the best mussels in Belgium. Cafe Rene (corner of Gebroeders Vandeveldestraat and Ajuinlei) has very well-prepared traditional food, and also Brasserie Ha (Kouter). These three restaurants are not cheap-food is quite a bit more expensive in Belgium-but they are very good. Remember that tap water is not free. You must purchase it. However beer and wine are much cheaper than in US.

Cheaper are Soup/sandwich places, and pasta restaurants.
