We are traveling to Belgium in late October with an arrival time of 9:15am in Brussels from US. Provided the plane is on time, approximately how long will it take to get through customs to get to our train which departs from the airport? We are only traveling with carry ons so no need to go to baggage.

30 minutes to and 1 hour; and there are plenty of trains going that way every hour so you have nothing to worry about

The trains are at the "basement level" and convenient to access.

Trains don't have to be booked in advance. They are unreserved and there are trains, on average, every 10 minutes.

My wife and I just flew in and out of Brussels. Getting OUT of the airport was relatively simple, 30-60 minutes like others have said. However, getting into the airport took much longer than most European exit points. Rick's book suggested 3 hours as opposed to the standard 2, and I am glad we heeded that advice. We made our flight home with only about 20 minutes to spare.

Thanks for the info. It is good to be forewarned about arriving 3 hours early to leave from Brussels airport. We never get to an airport more than two hours prior so thanks for that!
