For your info: Strikes in Belgium from 7 to 13 Sept

Oh goodness! Strikes will occur in Belgium from 7 - 13 Sept. Strikes also occur in UK and Paris on almost same date.
I read few posts on strikes in UK and Paris and wonder if the strikes may also occur in Belgium so i google to find out. True enough. Yes, the strikes will happen on 7 Sept. Please be prepared in case.

Two smaller railway unions have said they will strike, but it seems negotiations will still be happening. So railway strikes MAY occur in Belgium, and if they do, will mainly result in a reduction of train services. More info on reduced services should be found on belgiantrain.be, the railway-app, in the railway stations on on Facebook.

I'm currently travelling by car to Italy and will not be able to check the news before tomorrow evening. If I see anything more, I will make another post.

Strikes have been happening on and off this whole year. If trains are affected they still have services only much fewer. And don't forget there are still Flixbus, airport shuttles, trams, buses and taxis, which don't usually strike. In reality there will be lots of ways that tourists can get to where they have to. After your arrival, where you have to get to your hotel, you can probably walk to most sights and you won't need to worry about the trains at all.
