Hey guys, we are planning on being in Ghent on Easter and would like to attend mass. Does anyone have any recommendations on which church is the best? Any possibility in English? Thanks!!!!
I can't speak with any authority; but wouldn't the ultimate Easter mass experience in Ghent be at St. Bravo's? Don't miss seeing the Ghent Altarpiece, but advance reservations are required for the altarpiece.
Even I have visited Ghent numerous times, including it's churches and the cathedral, I have no experience with attending mass there. But looking at the internet I have found two websites about English communities that maybe can be of interest. One is St. John's Anglican Church in the "Old Beguinage" west of Gravensteen castle. And the other is the Gent Baptist Church in Mariakerke outside the historical center of Gent. To know more best is to contact them.

As far as I know all the other churches are Roman-Catholic and mass held in Flemish / Dutch. Several in the historic center of Ghent like St Bavo, St Niklaas and St. Michiels are located at easy walking distance from eachother. The church of the St. Pieter Abbey has a really beautiful Baroque interior if that should be of interest. But as I already noticed I have no idea where you will have the best experience.
