I plan to visit Bruges from Paris. After I purchase Thalys Paris->Brussel train ticket (non-refundable) and then plan to purchase separate train ticket from Brussel to Bruges, I read the session that we can get discount for the connection by selecting "ABS" (any Belgium Station) option when purchasing Thalys ticket.
It seems to late for me now. How can I still get this ABS discount? Is there any add-on option to my original Thalys ticket? Or I can buy discount ticket on Thalys train or Brussel ticket station by showing my Thalys ticket?
Thanks,
The ABS is not a discount, it is a purchase option for the THALYS ticket. It is too late for you to change the Thalys ticket, on which you got a great deal. The price of the local train is so small (and on a less-comfortable coach than Thalys) that you should not be too disappointed. Except on weekends, there are no real local train discounts for walk-up sales in Belgium. The price is constant. Don't overplan this trip.
