We will be in Bruges on All Saints' Day, November 1st, and would appreciate any information on what is going to be closed that day. We know banks and government offices will close, but what about major sights and restaurants?
Which major sites are planning to see that day?
Museums will be open on November 1st. Usually boat tours are till October 31st , but this year it coincides with autum holidays so with some luck you can join one a day later if weather is good. But have to say hard to guarantee. In Belgium shop keepers and restaurants are free about opening times, so expect most will be open the day you plan your visit.
For more precise info about museums and religious heritage see the TI website: https://www.visitbruges.be/museumsplacesofinterestattractions
We will be staying in Bruges for 4 nights/3 full days, including a day trip to Ghent on a day to be determined (depending on weather), so have not planned out each day's sights as of yet. We'll be relying on our feet and public transportation to get around.
Thank you, Wil, for your information. I was concerned that most key sights would be closed for the holiday. I think that whole week is a Belgian school holiday so maybe that's one reason most museums/etc. will be open on the 1st.
