Hi, we're looking for a 2 day rental, Brussels to Bastogne and back, Has anyone rented an electric car? How easy is it to find charging stations. TIA!
Lots of discussions about electric car rentals---

Bottom line is if you are not a current electric car user, trying to learn how to search for places and the charging process while on vacation is not a good idea.
That shouldn’t be a real problem. The major car hire companies AVIS, Europcar and Hertz have partnered with the SHELL Group for their electric cars.
If you download the Shell app, you can see just how extensive their network of charging points is.

We had planned to do this, in the US, near a very busy airport (Newark). Our hotel was about 20 miles away. I looked on google maps for charging stations - there were many. However, the reviews were abysmal, ranging from the best (2 stars: a long time to charge) to many that were not working at all, had been vandalized, etc. We had to change to a gas car because there really was no way to be sure we could charge the car. Worth looking at your intended route on google maps and find charging stations, then check the reviews for those stations...before booking.
I rented an electric car for a couple of days in France. It was very easy to find charging stations, and absolutely impossible (for me) to figure out how to get them actually to charge my car. But if you own an electric car yourself and are familiar with commercial charging protocols, it shouldn't present problems for you.
