Buying tickets ahead for Brugge>Luxembourg

We are travelling from Brugge to Diekirch, Luxembourg on September 16. I checked DB Bahn and found almost hourly connections. However, these tickets cannot be purchased online. (Our preferred route is Brugge>Liege>Ettelbruck>Diekirch -- one intercity, one interregio, one regionalbahn).

Is it worth the effort to call and purchase these tickets now, or would the price be pretty much the same if I purchased them when we arrive??

Belgian rail does not offer advanced purchase discounts. Just buy the tickets at the train station.

I understand your concern...I never worry about local train but sometimes it is better to buy in advance for some international routes.

I had a similar question this Summer before I left. I wanted to go from Luxembourg to Zurich. And I could not buy any ticket in advance. I contacted the train companies from Luxembourg and Switzerland and they confirm it is not possible to buy these online.
I would not worry about it...the train from Luxembourg was far from being full in early August...which I would think is high season.
I bought my ticket the day before and it was fine. Enjoy!
