Brussels to lille

Hi

We are going from Brussels to lille on April 25
There appear to be a couple of midday trains 1:17 and 3:03 both 38 euros. We are two senior s and growing older fast .They are listed as tgv on the SNCF website. I am just double checking to make sure I have this right. Brussels midi to lille direct?

Thanks

The SNCF (France) and the NMBS (Belgium) both have their own railway. If you cross borders they forward you to their "international" service. The international trains are either the TGV or Eurostar. So if you have a TGV ticket from Brussels Midi to Lille Europe, you shouldn't worry.

Keep in mind that Brussels Midi is also called Brussels South in Belgium. So that you're not in the wrong station (e.g. Brussel North or Central).

Note that this train probably has mandatory seat reservations, and pricing may vary for different change/cancel privileges. You can take the local train from Brussels Centraal (if that's better for you) one stop to Brussels Midi/Zuid without extra charge or ticket, just before your international departure. If you are not starting from Brussels, you might check whether the "Connection Ticket" international option is cheaper than buying a separate ticket from (say) Brugge to Brussels.

Edit: AFAIR, the train station columns at Midi are alternately labelled "Midi" and "Zuid".
