Hi everyone. I'm planning a trip in May whether it's by myself or on a group tour. My grandfather is buried in Henri-Chapelle cemetery and I'm wondering if it'd possible on a free time day to hire a driver to take me there for a couple hours and then take me back to Brussels? Also, how expensive do you think this might be? Thanks everyone
There is a train every hour from Brussels (Midi, Centraal, Nord) to Welkenraedt, which is about 6 miles from Henri Chapelle. The train takes about 1 1/2 hours and should be relatively cheap. Now the challenge is locating a taxi in Welkenraedt to take you there. and bring you back.
There is also a museum nearby you may wish to visit as well.

PS Taxi Lahaye in Welkenraedt

And round trip train ticket from Brussels is 25 EUR.
I have not been to Welkenraedt, but I wonder if you’ll have a better shot at a taxi during a business day 9-5 and not at school transit hours??
