In Sept we are flying to Manchester England. The night before we will be in Antwerp. I have read concerns about how long it takes to get through security at the Brussel airport. Both have non-stop flights although there are more options in Amsterdam. Does anyone have comments about which airport would be better to fly from?
My suggestion: None of them, take the train instead.
Have you seen this?

There is the 'when to arrive' feature.
Being BRU is much closer than AMS, that would be my choice ( assumes suitable flight time and price)
Thank you both; very helpful. I was unaware of the Brussels airport link which I greatly appreciate.
Antwerp to Brussels airport is 30 minutes and direct trains every 30 minutes. Antwerp to Schipol is 1 1/2 hours and trains every hour. I'd go with Brussels. Exiting Immigration and entering Immigration are whole different animals anyway. Security is often the biggest delay.
You didn't mention the name of your airline, but make sure you're not actually booked at Charleroi Airport, which is NOT "BRU". Some discount airlines, like Ryanair, use or have used Charleroi to save landing fees and lower ticket prices.
