Which do you think is the best location?
Luca hotel or ibis Brugge centrum?`
We will be walking and exploring the area.
Also, We plan on using the train and taking a few day trips.
Is this any help?
2 separate day trips: Ghent
and Flanders Fields (with tour provider Quasimodo pick up at your Brugge hotel) are two good day trips from Brugge/Bruges.
Ibis is much closer to the train station, if that makes any difference. Use google maps to see where both are located.
Luca is closer to the main sights most people go to Bruges to see. If you’re healthy with no mobility issues, both hotel locations are fine. As stated, Ibis is closer to the train station. I guess it comes down to personal preference.
This is awesome!
We have booked into Brussels for the first day and hotel lucca for 4 days.
We decided we had to see the highlights of Brussels.
Any recommendations for budget hotel and restaurants near the grand place?
Any recommendations for a restaurant in Brugge where we can celebrate my hubbys birthday?
We stayed at hotel La Legende in Brussels. It was perfectly fine for the night we were in town. It could use some renovations, but the price was right, as was the location. It’s a few blocks from the Grand Place and central train station, and a block from the Mannekin Pis statue. https://www.hotellalegende.com/en/
In Bruges, we enjoyed restaurant Matinee; Rozenhoedkaai 5, 8000 Brugge, Belgium It gets mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, but when we were there in March 2018, we received good food and service. For a more upscale, and pricey, restaurant, we thoroughly enjoyed Brasserie Raymond; brasserie-raymond.be
