Bruges

Going to be staying in Bruges for 4 nights in April and looking for lodging suggestions. Planning on making that home base and day tripping from there.
Thanks

I had 5 nights in Bruges in Sept./Oct. 2023. I stayed at the Dukes’ Academie (not to be confused with the Hotel Dukes’ Palace). It was a decent hotel, great location. Within walking distance to everything, including the train station. One of the best hotel breakfast buffets that I have ever had.

I fell in love with Bruges on my walk from the train station to the hotel with Lake Minnewater on one side and the swans on the other side. It’s like I was walking into a fairytale. I can’t wait to go back.

Have a great trip!!

We enjoyed staying at Hotel de Orangerie which is in a picturesque location on a canal and walkable to the historic center of Bruges. It is a charming boutique hotel and had an amazing breakfast! The fireplace lounge area is lovely.

Rick, how many people in your group, any mobility problems, do you want breakfast included?

There is a free Centrum Shuttle which runs 7am- 7p, seven days a week, from the train station through the city center. You can google the map. As I said, it's free and very convenient.
Have a great trip!

I 've attached my recent Trip Report. Just work your way down to the Bruges section and I've included where we stayed. Because of tulip season, and Easter break, you may be a bit late booking lodging, so secure something soon. Research on booking.com , but book directly for the best price. Good luck!

Have a great time.
