Belgium In The End of November

Hello all,

My wife and I are considering going to Belgium at the end of November this year. for about 5 days. We will fly in and out of Brussels. I was considering doing day trips to either/all Bruges, Ghent, or Antwerp. We would be using trains and not renting a car.

Anyone have any thoughts/advice overall on this time of the year about visiting Belgium?

Thanks in advance.

I went that time of year, weather can vary from fairly nice to cold and rainy. As long as you are flexible with the weather, it is a fine time to go, End of November might get you into Christmas market season, you would just need to look up markets, each of the towns you mention have them.

I would suggest maybe basing yourself in Ghent, that gives you easy direct trains to Brussels, Antwerp, and Bruges, with Ghent being a great town on it's own. For your last night, you could consider Brussels, but Antwerp is really not any further to the airport.

Thank you for your replies and links. We are ok with being flexible and bearing short a torrential downpour don't mind bundling up with rain gear and warm clothes.

And I didn't realize Ghent is almost as close to the airport as Brussels is.
