Any recommendations for restaurants in Brussels and Bruges?

We can eat most anything except my husband doesn't eat Indian. Thanks for any recommendations.

Brussels

Tonton Garby near Grand Place in Brussels. Best sandwich I have ever eaten. It gets really busy at lunch time because it’s really good and because the owner interviews each customer in a fun way and then makes their sandwich based on their answers. Go for a “sweet” sandwich.

Frites Atelier good place for fries and drinks.

Bruges

Mr. Waffle & Sandwich - nice waffle made from scratch so it’s a little slower. Order liege.

The fries stands in front of the Belfry are both delicious.

In Bruges, we had a nice meal at Brasserie Raymond in 2018. It was a little pricier than many restaurants. No idea how it is now.

The best hot chocolate and waffles we ever had were at Maison Dandoy in Brussels located in Les Galleries Royales Saint Hubert.

I am stopping off in Brussels only for a few hours on my way to Brugge. Where is the best place close to Grand Palace for Mussels and Fries?

My friends and I had a wonderful breakfast at Tattie's in Bruges. We got there right when they opened at 9:00 a.m. as it is very popular. If you like hot chocolate, you should order it with whipped cream, simply delicious! Looking back on my photos, it looks like all three of us ordered waffles. They are also open for lunch, but as we were leaving Bruges that morning, didn't have a chance to try out their lunch menu.
