Hello, my wife and I will be arriving in Antwerp by train in May. Since we will have flown for many hours and also taken a train to Antwerp, we would like to take a taxi or Uber or Lyft from Antwerpen Centraal train station to our rented apartment in the historic downtown part of Antwerp. Are there Ubers or Lyfts in Antwerp and Ghent? If so, would an Uber or Lyft be better than a taxi? Do taxis take credit cards? Thanks for your help!

Yes, there is UberX rather than Uber (like a professional taxi, not so cheap). There is no Lyft. Normal taxis are much more widespread. If it were me I would catch a normal taxi - there are many more, at a reasonable price. If you press taxis they will take credit card but many taxi drivers prefer cash, so take €100,00 with you in change for taxi fares.
