Antwerp Harbor Tours

We are heading to Antwerp at the end of September for five days. Since it is a major port city, we wanted to get out on the harbor to get a first-hand look. Does anyone have any suggestions about a harbor tour? I have seen some back and forth online about various companies, which has left me a bit unsure. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

For decades Flandria is a well known compagny in Belgium offering a variety of boat tours, so also in Antwerp harbor tours of between 2 and 3 hours. The schedule is limited to the weekend and Thursday. There are also morning tours of 90 minutes during the weekend, both tours have live guides. https://flandria.nu/en/sailing-schedule-prices-2/

I am basing for a week in Antwerp but I'm sure Rotterdam could be an option for a day trip?? Think Rotterdam on the water has more opportunities? Might make for a better water tour?

Rotterdam is an option, it can handle not only the world’s largest containerships like Antwerp, but also the largest bulk carrier and oil tankers what isn’t possible in Antwerp. However if this is of interest you have to go all the way to the visitor centre in the Maasvlakte near the coast west of Rotterdam. Futureland, the visitor centre there is the departing point of the harbor tours, but getting there will take a whole lot of time from Antwerp. Maybe better doing this if you stay in the Netheralnds too and combine it with a visit to the huge Maeslant Barrier/Keringhuis. Nevertheless worth putting under your attention to my opinion.

Think harbour tours closer to the centre of Rotterdam are actually not that much different, however it has a lot of modern interesting architecture what can be a good reason for a visit.
