I will be in Amsterdam and would like to take a day trip to the Luxumbourg American Cemetery. Any recommendations on doing that? What train from Amsterdam?

I'm guessing you haven't looked at a train schedule.
It would take a minimum of 5.5 hours each way including two changes in both directions.
You could fly. The flight is just under one hour each way but will cost $400 and up round trip

Thank you for that reply. I guess I thought it was closer than that and more direct. Doesn't sound like it is worth it for just one day. Thanks for the information. Appreciate it.

it is about 420 km (about 260 miles) by car. If you had one you might be able to drive in around 4 1/2 or 5 hours each way, depending on driving at night or day (the Dutch speed limit goes from 100 kph to 130 at night). You would be going all the way diagonally across the Netherlands, then completely across Belgium, then about half way across Luxembourg.
