Hi everyone,
I will travel alone to Belgium this July and plan to stay in Ghent for three nights. All I need is a clean single room in a safe neighborhood. Preferably, the rate is no more than 75 euros. I appreciate your help.

I stayed at the Ibis Kathedraal and was very satisfied. The location is great, but . . . they gave me a room with a view of the cathedral - it's right across the street. I looked out and saw that I was only a flight or two above the tram lines, so I asked for, and immediately received, a room without a view. Nice and quiet. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. It's a 3-4 minute walk to the tram stop to get to the train station if you want to do any day trips. The only other thing is that Ibis usually provides one type of all-in-one soap . . . body wash, shampoo, conditioner and maybe laundry soap too. Anyway, you may want to bring your own with you.
