Mr. Stevens,

I am doing a 3-night trip to Brussels Belgium In the 3rd week of May. I am looking for Hotel suggestions that are close to Eurostar terminal (Midi) and downtown sites. Also, info on how to get around would also be helpful.

Thanks

Bill Weber

Welcome to the RS forums, Bill -
First off, you've posted your questions in the review section; where people contribute reviews of places they've already been, accommodations they've stayed in, etc. Although you may get some answers here, it's best if you have questions about Brussels to post them in the "Destination Q and A" for Belgium. That forum is here:

Secondly. I think you meant Mr. Steves, as in Rick Steves, and not Mr Stevens. He doesn't answer forum questions - he's a very busy man! - so you'll want to reference his guidebook for Belgium/Brussels. That book will be very useful for sightseeing and transport questions!

As well, with some more information (How many of you will be traveling? What's your per-night budget? What attractions are you wishing to see?) people who know Brussels well can help you better. :O)

Check his guidebook for Belgium and/or Brussels for lots of hotel recommendations. If you don't want to buy the guidebook, then check it out from your local public library. The Steves' travel DVDs would be very useful for you. You "get around" either via public transit or taxi. It just depends on where you want to go. AND spend a little time understanding the structure of this web site to get more useful responses.

Hello Bill

Booking.com is a good research tool for hotels and other lodging. Then you can book on booking if your prefer or go directly to the hotel website.

You have titled your post with your name. You should have titled it with something having to do with the information tht you are seeking such as "Hotels in Brussels" or "Seeking info about hotels in Brussels"/. You can edit your title and change it.

And as another person said. You have posted it under Belgium Reviews. You should have posted it in the first box, Q & A. Then go to Brussels and post your question.

This is a really good site but it takes a little time to fully understand it. Many people on this site are very well traveled, knowledgeable and helpful.
