antwerp hotels near central station

I don't know it. If you are young and healthy, the main reasons to stay near Centraal Station are price (because of the European tradition of seedy hotels near the train station) and quick train access for day trips. Also, the hourly bus to BRU leaves near one side of the station. In decent weather, Antwerp is a walking city with good surface trams for tired feet. I have often taken the tram from Melkmarkt to Centraal Station, with a suitcase. And I have also walked (with a roller bag) from the Hilton (Goenplaats) to Centraal Station - which is hard on the wheels, but not on me.
