Zillertal location and view

One of the things I've never done in Austria is visit the Zillertal. I enjoy the music - hope to hear live - and especially the views I see on various Youtube videos.

The view from the terrace used as dance venue in https://youtu.be/7Ydvzv-q218?si=vxJlUX3FPNKUalfX really is beautiful to me. I hope to get there in the next couple of weeks. Does anybody have an idea where it was filmed? Thanks

thanks mchpp - most grateful

I'm afraid that with my wife's disabilities our hiking days are over but the view's the thing. There are so many valleys to explore in Austria and Germany! I never tire of them

Well, that looks lovely! I hope you find it and that you get there in the very near future! Will have to hear about it!

Same, I never get tired of the Austrian Alps and the German Bergheimat regions. I was just at the Hintersteiner See for four nights a week ago. A dream view from our Fewo at Appartements Seespitzhof (steps). The whole Wilder Kaiser regions is great. I never tire of the view from Berggasthof Mitterberg overlooking the Zeller See. The rooms last year there were a bit dated though and steps too, but the view makes up for it. https://www.foto-webcam.eu/webcam/zellamsee/
I think my next trips will include Schladming-Dachstein.

Another place I bookmarked in the Zillertal. Looks pretty booked for September: https://www.gasthof-talblick.at/ Here too https://www.enzianhof.eu/. I could see it from Berghotel Gerlosstein. OK that's enough. I hope you have a great trip and good weather. Servas!

My last. I think you might find the Brandbergtunnel interesting. It was built to build the dam and if the Speicher Zillergründl ever busts loose this will save Mayrhofen form the waters of the Schlegeis Stausee. The tunnel system in the surrounding mountains to bring water to the Stausee is something else.

I'm hoping this summer. Can we easily find folk music in the Zillertal or do we need to luck into a fest?

I don't think I have ever heard live Volksmusik in the Zillertal, but I did not search it out either. There was an outdoor concert once in Mayrhofen near the Penkenbahn in summer when we were there, but it was modern music. Remembering back where I have seen live Volksmusik in Austria it was at an Alm or restaurant we were visiting or a hotel we were staying at.
Heard this a few weeks ago and it's from 2018. Stuck in my head for awhile: Zillertaler Nächte by Zillachtol Gsong
