Stans seems like the logical place to stay; I'm assuming we can drive to the trailhead from there. Any recommendation for a hotel in this area based on your personal experience. We'll be arriving in mid-June 2026. We tend to stay at mid-range hotels with decent restaurants. Thanks!

It's a long story, but we went with Das Innsbruck in Innsbruck. It's a really good option. About a 40-minute drive to the parking lot by the trailhead.
I have never been here and no idea for public transport, Wiesing looks nice. It is on flying webcams some mornings. Pfarrkirche Wiesing and the chapel. Could be a a good spot to stay. Near the Achensee and Zillertal too.
