Hello! My husband and I will be in Salzburg for 2 nights in May. We would like to see the lake district and Hallstatt. Do you recommend Viator or Bob's Special Tours? Viator has a 5 hour trip to Hallstatt and Bob's Special Tours has a Sound of music/Hallstatt tour that is 8 hours. Do you have any information on either of these tours? I would really like to take a boat ride on the lake at Hallstatt and I am also interested in a Salt Mine tour. Im not sure if there will be enough time for all of that. Any info you can give is very much appreciated.

Given the touring you want to do, the longer tour from Bob's would probably be the best option. The Salt MIne tour is going to take at least a couple of hours by the time you get up there, go on the tour and then perhaps stop at Rudolfsturm for a "cool one" on the patio on the way down (fantastic views).
I'd suggest sending an E-mail to Bob's Tours to ask if the Itinerary they offer will fit with your requirements. I've travelled with them in the past, and would recommend them.
