When do the mountains really lose the sun in Sept. ?

Planning on being in Austria week of Sept 9th this year. While driving to areas, I am curious when do these high mountains really start to get dark, less photogenic .?
It states sunset is at 7:20.pm..but due to not a level place from Innsbruck to Salzbugh, when should I plan on seeing the alps slowly become dark ?

Well here's the thing about mountains- some areas get dark sooner and faster than others, depending on how high up or down you are and what direction you are looking at. Sunset happens relatively fast in the valleys- no long lingering sunsets, although twilight can last longer.

Along the front range in Colorado we find a difference of about 20 minutes or so before the official sunset. And it does not really get dark until the sun is totally down as it reflects up and over the mountains. A lot depends on the clouds. Unless you are only there for one day, just time it one day.
