October 26 is Austria National Day and I will be in Innsbruck. Researching what to expect, I found info about events in Vienna, but nothing specific to Innsbruck. Does anyone know are there any special events or reasons to stay in town or will everything be closed and a good day for me to head to Bolzano?

It’s a Saturday and all shops will be closed. This holiday doesn’t really have any traditions.
There is traditionally open house at the "Tiroler Landhaus", residence of the governor and the state parliament of the State of Tirol, with music, eating and drinking outside in front of the building.
I guess that a lot of museums will provide free access on that date, too.
