Weekly pass for Vienna

Hello.
4 of us will be in Vienna for 4 days in September. We arrive on a Wednesday by train from Budapest and leave on Saturday night by air.
We'll be going to the Upper Belvedere Museum, The Spanish Riding School and the other sites in the city. We will stay at a hotel on Josefstadt, 1080 Vienna and would like to see as much of the city as much as possible.
Should we get the pass and will it be available at the Railway Station when we arrive ?
Thanks !

Buy a weekly pass for each of you. Machines are at the Hauptbahnof as you enter the local transportation area. You will probably walk just about everywhere as Vienna is a compact city. Be sure that Schonbrunn is also on your list.

Thanks ! The two of our group who haven't already been to Schonbrun will certainly go there. This is a second and third visit for two of us :)

We stayed in that same neighborhood in 2015 - Hotel Rathaus Wein and Design. We loved the area. Fromme Helene and Marienhof are two great restaurant choices for Austrian food. Have a great time!

Because half of the calendar week is already over when you arrive, make sure at the ticket vending machine that the week passes you want to buy are issued for the current week, and not already for the next one.

Thank you all for your help. We will try the restaurants you've recommended. Any other tips re the area , transportation or otherwise ? Is it really walking distance from the main attractions and city centre ?

Your hotel is very close to the center and it will be very easy for you to walk to all of the sights located in the center and on the Ring. Vienna is a small compact capital city. You can walk from your hotel to Stephansplatz in about 20 minutes.

Here is a recent English article about the neighborhood of your hotel. Il Sestante, on the lovely Maria Treu square, is hand's down the best pizza in town. I actually took my Sunday walk this week up and down the nearby Lange Gasse and Piaristengasse which are full of lovely restaurants not full of tourists.

If you walk down Josefsgasse there are stops of tram #2 and metro (U-bahn) U2 nearby, so you have connection to public transport.

Adjacent to your hotel is Vienna's English Theatre, presenting very good performances.

If you want to try the best goulash in Vienna, it is just around the corner:
