weekend in Munich or Prague?

We will spend 2 weeks in August split between Vienna and Budapest.
Because of travel logistics, we are considering tagging on a weekend in Munich OR Prague to start the trip (will follow with train to Vienna).

Ofcourse we realize there is no "right" answer, but welcome your thoughts about how to think about a summer weekend in each of these cities!

thanks
J

Both options are great. From this unknown stranger, I'd give an edge to Munich, but would happily go to Prague.

J: Both are great; however, your choice should be dictated by what you want to do. Prague will probably be less expensive--especially if you are going to drink a lot of beer😀

You cannot make a bad choice. As a tourist I think I would have to pick Prague, Munich is awesome, but not quiet as pretty and slightly more expensive. Especially since theyre both about 4hrs by train from Vienna. But again, even writing this post I am not sure which is better :)

I enjoyed Munich just fine, but the architecture in Prague just blew me away. I'd vote Prague.

Prague is more of an eye candy. Beer is excellent as in Munich but for the price of one in Munich you can have three to five in Prague. So I am voting Prague.

Prague for the beauty and the fact that it will have more differences than Vienna (language, culture).
