Vienna to Munich options between

We are traveling to central europe in July and I am planning the final leg of my trip. What we already have planned for the trip is Prague (3 nights), Krakow (1 night), Budapest (2 nights), Vienna (3 nights). We then have 4 more nights to plan before we fly out of Munich in the morning. Given the front of the trip is jam packed with cities, for these last 4 nights I would like a quieter pace, more countryside, scenic, villages, hiking/nature, castles, churches, and some spa thrown in there. I came up with these few options but not sure which is the best choice and whether I just do one area or try to do two areas. Recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Salzkammergut, Austria - Schloss Fuschl; unsure there's enough to occupy for 4 nights
Berchtesgaden, Germany - Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden
Bavarian Alps, Germany - Schloss Elmau (sounds remote though)
Wachau Valley, Austria - Schloss Dürnstein; doesn't seem like an area to stay for 4 nights
Salzburg, Austria - with day trips

While Salzburg with day trips would be my choice, I will point out that if you have a morning (international) flight out of Munich, you really need to spend the night before in Munich.

Schloss Fuschl is a wonderful place, not the cheapest, though. It is halfway between Salzburg and the lake district, so you have all the options between scenic places, lakes, mountains, and a remarkable city.

Yes depending on location I am thinking 3 nights and last night in Munich for flight out at 11:30am. I am having such a hard time deciding what to do!!

You want quieter places but you named some of the most crowded tourist sites possible. Go to Chiemsee, or Traunsee, or Bad Tolz. Of course, it's going to make a difference how you're traveling.

I would definitely do Salzburg, Its smaller and not as busy as Vienna. (Aldstadt Hotel Hofwirt a great choice.) We flew out of Munich in May and stayed in Freising Germany, a small historical town. Easy to reach by train, and a short bus ride to the airport. Recommend Hotel Bayerischer Hof.

Rather than some place new, consider
Prague (3 nights), Krakow (2 nights), Budapest (3 nights), Vienna (3 nights), Munich (2 nights). Its still short of a good visit in Budapest and Vienna, maybe even Krakow and Prague, but ............. better. Even better, change your flight and leave our of Prague and spend those Munich nights in Vienna and Budapest.

In the Wachau Valley, there is also the Abbey in Melk, the tiny Venus of Willendorf Museum, boat rides on the Danube, other churches and wineries to visit, and you can spend an entire day biking alongside the Danube River if that's a thing you like. I have spent 2 nights in Melk on two occasions and still have not seen everything. Hotel zur Post in Melk is lovely, moderately prices and their breakfasts and dinners are fantastic. 2 or three nights there and 1 or 2 in Munich would be a lovely time.

Add me to the Melk bandwagon. Worth at least one night.

I often go to spas in the cities I visit, but alas, have not yet done any of the many Austrian spa hotels. I suggest an internet search to find one that can be visited for the spa and for activities in the surrounding area.

Prague (3 nights). You probably arrive mid afternoon? Jet lagged? So you have two days in Prague.

Krakow (1 night). There is one day in the week with a direct flight that arrives in the morning. Otherwise you are doing 6 hours by train or plane if a direct flight or one with a change you are arriving late afternoon. So the one night gets you a couple of hours in Krakow on day one. Day two you might get a few hours before you leave for Budapest.

Budapest (2 nights). There aren’t any direct flights to Budapest. So it’s a 10 hour train or a flight with a change most likely arriving late afternoon or early evening. So the first day is gone. You will have one full day before you have to catch a train Budapest.
