Hello everyone. I am currently in Vienna (first time). For the past two days I have been trying to get train tickets to Melk, but I must be missing something. When I search the OeBB site, I select Wien as my starting place, but Melk is not an option for my destination. Any suggestions? Thank you!
I see lots of trains on either trainline or oebb.at, so I can only conclude you are dealing
with some sort of cockpit error.
Try a different browser, clear your cookies, etc. You need to be on oebb.at, just in case
you are think you are on the official site and are not.
If that fails, buy the tickets on trainline. Or, just go the train station. There are plenty
of trains and you're not going to get much of a discount if you want to leave today or
tomorrow.
In researching, I didn't find a problem. I looked at OBB and Austrian National Railways sites. Many available trains with a traveling time of 51 - 60 minutes.
Thank you. I was trying to use the drop down menu on the main page. Once I got farther in to the site, I was able to choose Melk. Appreciate the quick, helpful response.
Glad you got this sorted. Melk is fantastic and well worth the trip.
