Vienna to Cortina d Ampezzo

Are there any good midway places to stay for a couple nights in between Vienna and Cortina d Ampezzo. We are driving and want to breakup the distance. We will be traveling mid September.

Rich - You can make overnight stops in Graz and Lienz Austria on the way to Cortina d Ampezzo. Those 2 cities will help you break up the distance.

Vienna to Graz - 2 hr. 9 min

Graz to Lienz - 3 hr. 15 min

Lienz to Cortina D'ampezzo - 1 hr. 20 min

I suppose that these driving times are from Google Maps, somewhat optimistic, doable under best circumstances.
