I have to spend the night in Vienna in May to catch a plane the next morning. Any suggestions of things to see or do in the short time I will have there? Thanks.

What's the date? If it's the 23rd, the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Vienna. No more tickets remain, but there will probably be public viewing opportunities for the home town crowd.

I would download Rick's free audio tours covering a central walking route, St. Stephen's Cathedral, and a tram ride around the Ringstrasse. Depending on day of week, an art museum may be open late, but that would take up all of your time.

Have Viennese coffee somewhere, its a fun experience. Some of the museums are open late, depending on the day. You can go to the Prater and ride the ferris wheel from the movie the Third Man and/or Anthony Bourdain. Just walk around, you will enjoy it.
