I wish to attend a performance of the Opera. I'd rather have an actual seat not standing room. Do I need to buy tickets in advance or will I likely be able to get them when I arrive in Vienna. The performance I want to see is on my last night.

Definitely buy ahead , and on the Staatsoper website . Which opera are you looking at ?

Definitely by ahead. It was sold out when I was in town in December for all performances that week. I did end up doing standing room and it was amazing
