Vienna Recommendations

My husband and I will be in Vienna for about 5 nights in March/April.

Hoping for some recommendations of where to stay. Preferably within $300ish per night, but up to $400.

Looking preferably for a kitchenette, comfortable beds and location nearby public transport.

Any favored museums, sights, restaurants, etc. Would be greatly appreciated! We love all sorts of things, so share away!!

Thanks!

If you are looking for a hotel with a kitchen, I can recommend the Adina Belvedere.

Each room has a small but full kitchen. It also has a small combination washer/dryer. Breakfast is also available. Very clean, very quiet. Great people working there. I just completed my fifth stay last month.

It's a fairly new, modern hotel with good size rooms and a/c.

It's one block from the Hauptbanhof where you will find Ubahn and Sbahn trains. The "D" tram is just across the street from the hotel and numerous other trams are a block away. It's a 10 minute ride via the D tram into the center of Vienna.

The neighborhood is fine and has been gentrified. Lots of corporate offices and apartments.

Inside the train station are two large supermarkets and two smaller versions. Lots of places to eat as well. One block from the hotel is a Hofer supermarket which is the Austrian name for Aldi.

FrankII does nothing but travel so his recommendations will be everything he says that they are. Smart guy.

I am a bit lazier on holiday and I like to be close to what I came for. For me and in Vienna that would be someting in the Innere Stadt. I am no great expert on Vienna, only a few short trips. So I would turn to Booking.com and Click on "Kitchen" and "Innere Stadt". Well, actually I just did. I got 8 hits for my date in May. Mostly classic buildings. Rates ranged from about $250 to $550 per night. So, one would be in your price range.

If you can provide your exact dates, I can have a look on booking.com and make some recommendations.
