Vienna Pass

Does the Pass allow you to go when you want, rather than being tied to a time or day ticket?

Emily, I priced out our individual tickets, and I agree that it is a waste of money. The advantage would be in not being tied to timed tickets.

Huh? What places in Vienna requires timed tickets?

Schönbrunn Palace, Spanish Riding School . We bought our timed tickets, and fortunately these are the only timed activities, so far.

Well for performances like the SRS, it is not really a timed entry but a ticket for a show. Schönbrunn tickets can be purchased just before entering but it is the only attraction in Vienna that makes sense to buy ahead.

We just returned from Vienna yesterday. If you are going now, you won't need any timed passes. It wasn't crowded (yet) and we just walked up to all the sites and bought a ticket within minutes.

Thanks Emily. We are spending a few days in London in April, where we have multiple timed events, so I am in that mindset. Yes, the SRS event is a training, and so like a show.
