Hello!
We are going to Vienna for 6 days and are planning to see a lot of attractions. We have done the math on the Vienna Pass and it will save us money. Is this a legitimate pass? Has anyone had trouble with an attraction that is listed as a participant but then were ultimately turned away when trying to use it? We tried to look on the attractions' websites but only one attraction specifically listed that they accepted the Vienna Pass.
Thanks for the help!
Yes, it is a legitimate pass. We were in Vienna for 6 days in October-November 2015 and we definitely got our money's worth out of the Vienna Pass.
No - we were not turned away by any of the attractions. We are art buffs and museum junkies so the Vienna Pass was great for us.
Yes - we have also used it and it was accepted for almost everything we wanted to see.
Rather than going to the website for each specific attraction to see if they accept the pass, you should go to the Vienna Pass website...they have a list of all the places that accept it. Then you can see if what you want to see matches what the pass covers.
Thank you so much for the help. We will go ahead and order it.
I received an email this morning (1/30/2017) that the Vienna Pass is on sale for two more days.

The 10% price reduction will end on February 1st, 12am (CET).
Thanks so much. We just ordered it and got the discount! The reason we were worried about this pass is that we could not find it mentioned in the Rick Steves Vienna book so your first-hand experience was very helpful.
I would suggest that you get another guide for Vienna in addition to the RS book.
