Hi; we’ve been to Vienna a number of times and gone to quite a few musical performances at most of the venues, including the state Opera House.
I want to schedule a trip for November or December 2025. I’m trying to search for performances, especially at the Opera House of any ballet, symphony, or opera during November December.
however, I can’t seem to find any schedules for any performances those two months.
it seems almost that the performance schedules are blacked out beyond July 2025.
Where can I find information on performances in November and December 20 25 in Vienna? Thank you.

I do not think the Staatsoper has announced their 2025-26 season yet. Often that does not come out until sometime in March, so stay tuned. This past season, there were performances every single day in November and December, including Christmas.

thank you for that encouraging news. I called my favorite hotel in Vienna and asked to speak to the concierge and they said regrettably, he has retired, and we no longer have a concierge.
it seems were mostly left to our own devices and online searches now. But, thank you so much for this helpful piece of advice.

Several years ago, my husband and I had tickets to the Vienna Opera that I had unwittingly bought online through a third-party seller. (I always go to Official Websites). The tickets were supposed to be at the box office (will call) before the performance. They weren't there. That's when I learned about the third-party! The person at the box office said that they would arrive, however, and were actually hand delivered. The site that I had ordered the tickets on certainly looked like the official website. But, All's Well that Ends Well! Good luck to you.

Always buy your tickets from the official website: https://www.wiener-staatsoper.at/en/calendar/
Ticket sales, for a specific month, always start on the 1st two months ahead.
So for November 2025 it will start on September 1st, 10 am (local time).
So for December 2025 it will start on October 1st, 10 am (local time).
It is worth to get up early. :-)
Once you have selected your tickets you have 15 minutes to complete your purchase.
Therefore I recommend:
(1) Create your account in beforehand here: https://tickets.wiener-staatsoper.at/webshop/webticket/customerlogin.secure
(2) Log in already at 9:55 am, select the month, and refresh the page periodically so you can click on "Buy Tickets" the very moment this button will appear.

Ticket purchase aside, the entire season will be released on the schedule so you can see what you want to buy tickets for.

You can also wait-list tickets for a performance before the general sale. You get to pick acceptable seating areas. Once they know what is available they will send you an email with seats which you can accept or not. I did this for an April performance thus season and they offered me my seats in early January, I doubt I would have had seats this good waiting for Feb 1 for this to open The instructions are on their web site (PLEASE only use theirs!)
