I will be in Vienna in earl December. I was wondering if by chance there might be a day cruise to the Wachau Valley? I know it is cold, but being a lifelong Chicago resident, I am used to cold. (I don't like the cold, but I wasn't given a vote on the weather).

I had trouble finding cruises when I was in the area late March about three years ago. I'm assuming the river current is rough, and that there are few travelers that time of year.

Normal schedules for both Brander and DDSG end late October. Perhaps you may be lucky and they do a special Advent cruise, but I think that is very unlikely. Have a look at the two companies websites to see what you can find.
