Vienna, Imperial Treasury Museum

Does anyone know if we need to buy tickets in advance? I noticed on the Treasury's website that it doesn't ask for a date when purchasing tickets. Do you know if the tickets are open ended? Our tour only gives us half a day free in Vienna so I'm trying to leave our options flexible. We have two half days with the Lippizans plus other organized sightseeing.
As always, thanks for your help.

(1) You don't need to but it can save you some time on a rainy day when everybody heads to the museums. (2) Yes - no limit à la Galleria Borghese etc.

Also , be aware that there is a combination ticket with The Art History ( Kunsthistorisches ) Museum if that interests you .
