Hello:
Looking for recommendations for accommodation, maybe medium quality hotel, near the Belvedere Palaces in Vienna. Want it to be close to public transportation from the airport, preferably an underground station (I haven't got packing light down yet!). Just two nights so I don't want to do an apartment.

We stayed at the Erzherzog Rainer hotel and loved it. It's about a 15 minute or so walk from their to Schloss Belvedere. It's about an 8-10 minute walk to the Karlsplatz station, and a 3-4 minute walk to the Taubstummengasse station. Maybe a 15 minute walk from the Ringstrasse. Really great included breakfast. Only thing is that there was no air conditioning, which wasn't a problem for us as we were there in mid-May, but this might pose a problem in the summer months.
Thanks for the tip. No AC in the countryside is fine by me but not in the city I think. I will look for others in that area. It is handy that when you find a hotel and look at a map it shows you all the nearby ones also.
