Vienna hotel recommendations

Will be visiting Vienna for five days in September. Would appreciate any lodging recommendations for the area inside the the "Ring". We are a young (65 yrs) couple and are seeking a clean quiet location. Many Thanks! Lee R.

I always stay just a few blocks outside the ring on Mariahilfer Strasse at K&T Boardinghouse @ 79 Euros. The subway is outside their door, and it's just a couple of stops to St. Stephens and the museums. You could walk it in just a few minutes, too.
We're going to be back with them in the new location (across the street) next month. Tina & Kaled are just great people, and close personal friends with Rick Steves.

Pension Sacher. Right next to the cathedral and huge rooms.

We stayed at Pension Nossek for 4 nights September 2012. It has a fabulous location, right on the Graben by the plague memorial. We enjoyed the location very much. Our standard double room was big and overlooked the Graben. I would stay there again and have recommended it to friends. Try to hike in the vineyards and taste the new wine when you are there, it was one of our trip highlights.

Pension Suzanne. Stayed there last April. See all of the reviews on Trip Advisor. They are correct reviews. Very nice. Small by American standards and furniture sometimes antique. But staff very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Great location less than 100 yards from Opera Haus.

Lee, did you get any recommendations for lodging inside the "Ring"? I may have missed them. We will be in Vienna in early September.
Thanks, PJ

Sacher, Nossek, and Suzanne are all within the City Center, thus within the Ring.
