Hello, we will be spending four nights in Vienna from 12/17-12/20 with our 1 and 2.5 year old. Our two goals are to frequently visit family living near Konstanziagasse tram station (my memory from one visit was that it wasn't the most desirable area) and to enjoy general tourism and holiday activities. Can anyone recommend good hotels or areas to stay with reasonable transit access to both? We will have a car, too, if that opens up some options. We have lots of travel points we could use for hotels, so outside of totally premium hotels many places should be in budget despite elevated holiday prices. We want a nice place that meets our family's needs with small children while also allowing us to spend time with family. Any help is appreciated!
Konstanziagasse is a rather quaint and tranquil street in a part of Vienna called "Stadlau", not so desirable because somewhat remote of the city's center. You have easy access to public transport on either end, though, subway U2 and tram 25 respectively.
Fortunately the last traditional Viennese pub in this area is located there.

If you go there for lunch or dinner, ask for a dessert called "Kardinalschnitte". Delicious.
To stay in this area consider this hotel which has a variety of different room sizes.
