I will be leaving my hotel (yet to be determined) in the wee hours of the morning in order to catch my flight. Do you know of a good hotel to stay in that will be located very conveniently for a quick trip to the airport? Also, how would you recommend getting to the airport at 4am?

Those 6:00 am flights in Europe take you to another gateway airport where most travelers will sit around until about midday before catching flights to North America.
It is hard enough taking a 10 hour flight without getting no or little sleep the night before. I only take those 8:30 am flights or later as they go to the same gateway airports.
I agree about staying out at the airport. Otherwise you would have to get a car service to pick you up and take you to the airport.
We stayed at Vienna airport night before a 7 am flight. You just walk out the door. Very easy.

If your hotel is in the city then take a taxi. Make sure that you book the taxi in advance with a confirmed flat fare (about €30).

Thanks all. It looks like the airport hotel is the easiest way to go. I wish I had thought it through initially. I would have taken a flight to Frankfurt or Munich a day early and spent the day there before my flight. I hope others will read this and not make the same mistake.

We stayed at the Moxy at the airport. Train from Vienna and a few minutes walk with Moxy signs the whole way, and quick walk to the airport. Worked very well for us.
