We have engaged the services of a Vienna Greeter tour guide for our party of four when in Vienna next month. The service is free, with a tip expected for the guide. What is an appropriate tip for our group?

Are you sure a tip is expected? The Paris Greeters are not allowed to accept tips.

We offered a tip to our Munich greeter and she refused, asking us to give it to a charity instead.

I'm happy to confirm on behalf of Vienna Greeters that a tip is not expected. All Vienna Greeters walks are free.
All organisations in the Global Greeter Network offer free walks, as mentioned in the core values.

Our guide explained that tips are not allowed.
BTW Vienna is incredible! And I truly feel the guide was a huge factor in our enjoyment of the city. We learned a lot and saw more than we would ever have done on our own. Thanks to a great group of volunteers.
