Vienna for Christmas and New Years

Hello! I was hoping to visit Vienna during Christmas Day and New Years. However I wanted to confirm if any of my bucket list sites, Schonbrunn Palace, Hofburg Palace, Belvedere Palace, and Kunsthistorisches Museum would be open during Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. If you can comment on the availability of public transport and cafes during these times, I would appreciate it as well.

Thank you!! Happy travels!

The websites of each of these attractions has the holiday hours listed. I could use google and do the work for you, but probably better to do it yourself.

Public transport runs every day of the year.

Cafes’ hours will vary, but pretty much everything is closed on Christmas Eve.

Normally I figure, despite a few visits to Vienna, that I don't know enough to be much help here; but Emily's response surprised me. Couldn't believe it would be that much different that Budapest (where i've spent Christmas and New Year a few times) so i did a quick Google. This might help you:

Emily, actually i read it wrong. "Cafes’ hours will vary, but pretty much everything is closed on Christmas Eve." I could swear I read "Cafes' and pretty much everything else is closed ...." Sometimes I read these things too fast. Apologies....
