Hi there
We just booked Vienna for the end of February, will prepare for cold weather but hoping still plenty of things to do at that time?
Thanks
We enjoyed touring the Sigmund Freud Museum in Vienna.
There are more than plenty things to do at all times in Vienna. (Maybe except Xmas.)
Plenty of indoor activities for sure and ice skating at the Rathaus.
I would not let the temperature range of 25F to 45F deter you. Just dress for it. And while it rains half the days in February, the average for the month is only a bit more than 1.5" meaning that it would be reasonable to expect not more than a tenth of an inch every other day. Thats nothing an umbrella wouldnt beat. It seems like the city has more museums per square mile than most any place in Central Europe so escaping the cold and rain should be easy. Its also the time when the theaters and music are in full swing so buy some tickets. But if it were me I would upgrade the hotel to one with a nice public area with food and drink so I would have a place to weather the worst if need be. Sometimes its about the adventure of the unexpected as much as anything else.
