We are looking to do a classical concert while in Vienna. I’ve seen advertisements about classical ensemble concerts at St Peters Cathedral. Has anyone been to one and how did you like it? Plus any other suggestions for classical concerts of any type.
Thank you
I went to a string quartet in St. Anne's Church a couple of years ago and loved it. According to the website, they are still doing the concerts. It was an hour long, the church was lit with candles, and the acoustics were amazing in this beautiful small church. It was a highlight of my Vienna trip.

In Aug 2025 we attended a performance of VIvalde's 4 Seasons at Karlskirche (St Charles) and enjoyed it. Front row seats made it special. Details (with links) are in our trip report (part 3): https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/trip-reports/trip-report-austria-bavaria-aug-sep-2025
