thanks for that ... and then there is the unwritten program, which will invariably include "Radetzky March", Op. 228, one of my favs.

It seems a little more Strauss heavy than some years?

It does lean a bit heavier to Johann II this year .One selection which will be an unlikely treat - The last scheduled selection , " Wine, Women and Song " has a lengthy Introduction , which is rarely played . I am certain that this performance will include it , The Vienna Philharmonic , won't take shortcuts like that .
