We are landing in Vienna on Dec23rd and taking train to Budapest on Dec 29th, and heading to Prague on January 3rd to fly home on Morning of January 6th.
My question
Due to airline points we need to leave out of Prague. Has anyone taken either train or plane from Budapest to Prague?

I would take the 1 hour (inexpensive flight) from Budapest to Prague on Czech Airline or Ryanair.. It's about 7 1/2 hours and 300 miles by train. The trains were old and not at all modern or comfortable last time we took the trip.
